Job Context: Autino are seeking a highly motivated and talented Product Owner to drive the development team and liaise with product management to create exciting new products. We are an expanding company with blue-chip backing, producing multiple online products which offer different solutions to the automotive market and their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and capture requirements from the product management team, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in high-level interdepartmental project planning and prioritisation
  • Elaborate requirements into features, epics, user stories with appropriate descriptions and detail
  • Ability to define MVP (minimum viable product) and manage phases and releases
  • Be an advocate of AGILE principles
  • Ensure the development team deliver items to an agreed understanding of DONE that meets the expectation of quality, security and functionality
  • Prioritise work for planning in sprints
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings: stand-up, planning, review and retrospectives
  • Review work as it is being produced to give more guidance, greater definition, resolve product related questions where needed and confirm suitability
  • Sign off final deliveries on a feature and user story level
  • Follow the company policies and procedures, and provide guidance and advice on their development and maintenance
  • Perform any other task as required for product development

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a SCRUM team and following an AGILE process (4 yrs.)
  • Experience of performing role of a SCRUM product owner
  • Excellent problem solving (root cause identification, risk analysis)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write concise specifications
  • Use of a ticket tracking tool e.g. Jira, Visual Studio
  • Understanding of Web technology (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and digital platforms in general
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to visualise and describe complex workflows and user flows
  • Ability to prioritise and group features
  • Ability to work with UI/UX resources to develop wireframes and mock-ups
  • Technical degree (computing, software, engineering) 2.2 or higher
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Good maths skills (GCSE level minimum, ideal A level to good standard)

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of the automotive and garage management sector
  • Knowledge and experience of the software lifecycle and development process
  • C# programming
  • Mobile platform experience
  • Certified SCRUM Product Owner
